cocoon like structure on vals

saw this cocoon like structure on couple of walls, is it made by snails and if not what is it. Pictures attached.

cannot see clearly, if it is jelly like then it would be pond snails but if it is of Foam or something similar then I would say you have a predator in the tank.

here are the close ups of the vals, after taking them out of tank. Seems like something made by snail.

it is possible that this might be organic matter only, that is being decomposed by a kind of fungi that is part of the natural flora of a water body. the extensions of the fungus, called hyphae i think, make a network that holds the crud/detritus to plant leaves.

u can simply wait, keep this thread going, and tell us if any snails hatched. that will prove Vishaal's guess. If it doesn't happen, consider the second possibility.

this thing didn't look liked egg, seems to more like if Romi you are correct fungi. have removed this. but have left one there in tank, lets see. By the way was already having snails in tank but earlier never had this in tank.
