weight chinese stand can hold.

Unread post by Somen »

My chinese stand (rs electricals)
is 30*15 inches.
I want to place a tank 12 mm,with
dimension 30*18*15.Width is 18 inches.
For the 3inch,excess depth to stand,I have added
a 3 inch iron stand in the back.
Now the question is---
The glass would weight around 40 kg.
Water/substrate/rocks etc would take
the wt to 210 kg.
So the total wt would be arounf 250-275 kg.
Will the stand take on such a weight in the
Long run

Any dead fish can flow down the river but it takes a live one to swim back up stream.

I think there will be no problem. You can proced.

This is a MDF board stand and I seriously doubt its strength. But would like to hear what others have to say or their experiences with this type of stand.
