Large Mbuna Tank

Unread post by toomanyfish »

Hi all
This tank was setup for an office was actually completed a while back but the client was not happy with the initial oscars we had given him.No problem with the fish but he just found them a bit too dull for his taste. He wanted more fish and more lively ones.So we turned to our usual mbunas and they absolutely turned this tank around with their energetic nature. Some massive lace rocks some weighing as much as 30 kilos were added.I must admit mbunas in a large tank in large numbers with a lot of hiding space can give any 'regular' giant fish (like oscars ;-)) a run for their money.
As always we would love to know what you think of this tank.
Regards
Hamza

The low light brings out the texture of the brown rocks in a way that is delightful... it also gives the impression that the tank is bigger than it is in the pics that do not show the tank exterior.... it shows that even with only rocks and no plants, one can have still have an interesting aquascape :thumup

i think rockwork hasn't been explored as much as the medium deserves.

The tank is really looking awesome. Low light is creating the depth and illusion of bigness.
