Channa colouring up

Unread post by KarthikC »

I love the way the Channa Gachua (so, I assume) has been colouring up in the last one month.

Pic when a day after I got him:

One can observe that he is all brown, with traces of greenish-blue on his dorsal and anal fin.

After a month:

I decided to get some selective shots also, here they are:

He's all blue now. Cheeks are blue, with orange-blue striped tail. I jus love this fish's character and personality., Undoubtedly, this is the best fish I've had so far. Will keep you guys posted.

Cheers,

Karthik

It's a two feeter. WC only once a month, that too 20% and I feed him thrice a week.

Keeping channa is really intresting. You have mentiond tank size is just 2 feet. Is is posible to keep it in a two feeter. I also want to keep channa but space is a big problem for me.

The size of the tank is not correct for the size of the fish.

Scorpio ji: Two feet tank size seems to be ok for him, as Channas aren't active swimmers, like barbs. i have a cabinet where 2 tanks are empty, maybe If I get a smaller species, I will shift him to a 3 footer.

Cheers

Great if you already have option to transfer in another tank.
