From old air cooler and a Plastic jar, Mseal. PIC as follows. Now in testing mode...have a small leak in the lid, I think it can be repaired. So working on it.

Internal media will be added after repairing.

Partha, looks awesome.
If you get chance use sandpaper near joints and glue.
Try using araldite if mseal fails.
You're not using any rubber ring, so How ll you leakproof cap?

Exactly, expert suggestion, thanks a lot. Will try for something like that, I was using some polythene papers to tightening the cap...will search for rubber rings...saikumar wrote:You're not using any rubber ring, so How ll you leakproof cap?

you should have used airtight container like "Lock & lock" on the first place.parthapratim22 wrote:Exactly, expert suggestion, thanks a lot. leak proof and air tight containers available in the market easily in good price. You can use those.

I think I know Parthas intention. He did it because he might have already had that box. Remember to have seen that box as topfilter when I saw it last year.
May be he ll keep this and make airtight for his bro.

Re: Long pending-DIY CANISTER
It's surprising that most of us already have whats needed to build a canister filter and most of us know exactly how to build it but never bothered to take the fist step.
You just did it.
