Dense growth of moss and deposits provides the ideal place to grow hear algae. It anchors itself with moss and grows. It is must to clean the moss and keep away the causes of algae bloom. Keep Algae eating creatures is best remedy.

Rajiv ji. I'm growing peacock moss and fissidens in my tank. The moment I increased the flow and started changing water twice a week, the growth increased. I think good flow does real good to them. Thanks for this sticky post :)

Cheers,

Karthik

A not so good mobile pic of fissidens moss growing in my nano tank with high flow and no co2. My friend Navneeth helped me collect it and is growing well in submerged condition.

Cheers,

Karthik

Christmas moss carpetting and hijacking a pebble:

You can see a clump of fissidens also.

My tank has only good flow and regular water change with 1-2ml of Flourish excel dosed every alternate day. No Pressurised co2

Karthik

The best way to judge whether moss is happy is to look at its tips. Whenever it is growing well the tips/ends will be lighter coloured. Experts please add some more tips.
