I would like to have a good collection of information on biotope of these fish. Bappa Da you can prepare a writeup with following information:

1. Required substrate
2. Water parameters
3. Tank mates
4. What type of setup? Either Muddy or with lots of woods or with rocks or anything other?
5. Minimum tan size
6. Biotope information

Any other points.

This is not gonna be easy, since Badis sp. are being discovered from way many too different water bodies, like lakes, swamps, slow flowing rivers to even rapid rivers in locked pools. Plus the range of collection is almost the whole of India, Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, Bhutan as far as I know, it has been reported from Pakistan and Afghanistan also.

:1 :1 it is so important to give a fish the correct environment. there are some that even like turbid water.

As rightly stated by Abhi and Vishal biotope information would be difficult to provide as they are found across a variety of water bodies and regions...
Tank requirements can be provided by successful keepers...

But we can prepare a generalize writeup to keep these. I want to keep Badis-Badis, don't know more about these.

BTW which species is most colorful?
