It seems to me ContraSoil is the way to go.. Too many people I respect the skills and value-for-money approach of, have chosen it and benefited. ADA gets a lot of hype, and therfore has the most snob value, but it may not match up with ContraSoil in long-term use.

Wish I knew someone in Delhi who sells it.

Any idea, guys?

I have used ADA Amazonia 2 and the biggest issue facing till date is leaching, regular water changes help a bit but still.

In India we have limited options and I dont have any hands of experience on contro soil, but if all are saying good will be I guess..

Have any one experienced the Caribsea planted tank soil? I have used Caribsea cichlid sand and it was awesome.

Akadama is not available in india as a brand packaging, but again akadama is nothing but bonsai soil, one can get hold of from any nearby nursery, have seen it available at lalbaugh, bangalore - though cheap, but the texture seemed that it will crumble pretty soon - rescape might be a nightmare of epic proportions!! :P
