Sushant I want to use only two 3 watt LEDs for the nano tank. What should I use to with those LEDs?

you can use a 6V adapter rated at around 1A (preferably 700 mA). for a better result use a constant current driver along with it. here is the link for a DIY current driver http://www.instructables.com/id/Power-L ... t-current/

The work is tuff but it will be more efficient and permanent. Do I need 2 resistor and transistor for 2 LEDs or one transistor, register will be sufficient?

Your way is easy but I think they will not offer full light with adapter.

If my circuit is not doing then register also will not do. :)
Transistor compulsory!!

Let me see if I can suggest you an IC by evening.

you will require a single circuit to drive both the LEDs. the circuit is just to ensure that you'll get a constant current input to drive the LEDs. the rest of the connection would be same as what saikumar has sugested :D

you can use LM 317 transistor if you want to but this will give you a constant voltage circuit. just have a complete look at the link i have provided in my previous post.
