Re: What is this fish?
This fish is not very brightly coloured but has a lovely knife-shape. It is sold as South Indian Flying Barb in some shops, but it is closely related to the danios. i am surprized it is found as a native in Bengal, it is found here in the Yamuna at Delhi also. Many shopkeepers sell fish harvested from here only.
Somen, most fish have two nostrils only.
