I uses Glut and Hydrogen paraoxide to kill algae. It works on almost types of algae.

I avoid using any chemicals.regular water changes and tank maintenance takes care of most of the problem on the first place.

peroxide and heavy water changes to kill existing algae, works for bba and hair algae... with high light tanks efficient co2 circulation in the tank. still havent found a permanent cure for green dust algae, it comes and goes.

Algae phewwww
Tried each and everything from co2 to algaesides to waterchanges to blackouts
But the best sucess rate is to maintain proper balance between light and nutrients and good flow ..... I know its difficult to maintain but as all know prevention is better than cure
