The substrat layer is too thick. Would like to see a clearer picture

Substrate layer is around 2cms. I will post new pictures in the evening.

Update: As on today April 06, 2014

Most of the plants are now emmersed.

I sprays water daily morning.

It is really a achievement for me to growing these plants fully emersed without any cover.

Plants growing in this pico tank are Riccia, Marselia hirsuta, Syngonium rayi, Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, Hydrocotyle verticillata, Hemianthus callitrichoides, Bolbitis heteroclita.

Without cover :o then how you maintain the humidity, one time water spray in 24 hours is not sufficient...great achievement....
