What kind of light is preferable

i m planing for 2 nos 40W M.H.....is this ok for my tank..(tank size L 42inch x W 18 inch x H 21/22inch)...please suggest

i guess its' bit on the lowerside, for medium/high light plants atleast 2 more would be required.
