, even I agree there are highly capable people on this forum to help you. You dont need to take consensus from LFSs or other forums alike. Just elaborate your things well, and ask the right questions. SOmetimes you ll find answers on your own if you are systematic this way.apuda2010 wrote:Sorry for the loss. But don't waste time discussing your loss with LFS. Keep on talking on Aquapetz and I am sure you will benefit from the wisdom of people who have travelled down this road when they started off.

Re: Lost My Texas Chiclid Fish
Hi All,
Again lost my 2nd texas fish
Well, really dont know what exactly happening only few common things in both instances:
1. Parrot fish had laid eggs & protecting them
2. Water temperature around 26 Deg
3. Poo visibly coming out both times fish was dead...although normal colour...
4. Fishes showed no signs of any illness prior to death & were growing fast...
5. little tinge of redness in tail this time but that too visible today after death
6. All other fishes looks fine....only silver dollar little faded colour but they are mating i think as there tail turned black too....
Kindly tell if i should provide any other details needed...

R u still having parrtos in ur tank ? If yes then I'll suggest u to get rid off it..... it's a hybreed monster and I really don't find any reason for people liking that pathetic hibreed, dyed fish....... I'll suggest u to remove those first ... an FTS of ur tank will help in understanding the problem

few things that can help us better in helping you out is the tank dimensions(that you have never mentioned), your current stocking, water change schedule and water parameter, etc. skin and fin reddness can be a indication of bad water quality.
