Heat and high light might be the issue... Because i kept few mosses in my 1.5 feet they are not growing but they aint turning brown like the high tech setup... No dosing in the other tank.. Led lights moss and shrimps.. Doing fine

Light I doubt can be a problem , my fissidens are in extremely highlight area and I never had such issue.

I have been quite successful in growing Fissiden with high light on lava rocks. However, temperature is maintained at 24 degrees.
