First of all, chek the pH of your water using test kit and after that decide what to do.

It is not possible to get crushed corals easily in Delhi. They are banned. However if you able to find anywhere the price will very high.

Puneet along with using crushed coral you can do some thing -
1. Put a air bubble connected to a air pump i.e. to increase the oxygen content of the water it will raise your ph level to the desired level. (tested and it worked great)
2. Crushed coral ask your lfs they will be able to do it.
3. Or if you can spend then use caribsea cichlid sand that will buffer your ph to higher level close to 8.

The above 2 methods I am not sure but might fluctuate the ph whereas caribsea buffers it on the higher side.

Let me know if it helps :ugeek:

Puneet,

I personally will not recommend that you mess with your water parameters. Muck around with these things only if you are planning to house wild caughts that come from water with high pH or species that require high pH to breed. A Flower Horn is a tank bred man made hybrid that doesnt need high pH.

Tank/Captive/Farm bred fish accept a wide range of pH.
Just cos it happened to you is no means for you to claim that it will happen to me. Exceptions aren't the rule.

Puneet you can use seachem Tanganyika Buffer or sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) but it is not recommended to play with water chemistry cause you will face problems every time you do water change.
