Re: DIY: "invisible" filter inlet/outlet
thanks guys.
asheesh: i used a 1800W heat gun, but i think any will do. they cost Rs500-Rs1000
abhi: eheim 2217
aamir: i have no idea how to make the real ada lily pipe (very broad opening). i have seen guys reproducing it with an acrylic pipe and a heat gun...but have no idea how they did it.
marsaiko: you could try the heat of the flame of a gas stove. this was my first attempt. it is possible, but it is very hard to control, and also hard to heat up the pipe from all sides

Exactly, I tried once, just with small piece and it got blisters, may be needs much much more expertise. Later I tried heating with Solder gun just below acralyic, that dint get blisters, but was very uneven heating
Juainco, regarding the wide opening, people first blow one end closed rod with stopper while heating, later do what you did, fill sand , close both ends then all the bends. Now that you have heat gun, should be very easy, unless you got any spare pipe left.
All the best bro

I suppose boiled water can also be use to bend the pipe.maaz wrote:wojtek tht very nice idea u did great work love it..did hair dryer work for this bending process how u make those cut pls share..in last and second last pic...
