i would like to take the whole LED thing to a new level (at least new level for me)
is it possible to connect the LED to a car battery (12V, 60Ah), lets say 4 x 3W LED in line?
and have the battery charged every day by a solar panel?
how to limit the current to 700 mA?

Juanico,
Read about constant current circuits, you ll be able to do it for 700mA. In teal terms its called driver for LEDs and normally used in good torch.
BTW even I have this plan. But I m more worried about intelligent thieves here.
I also made a DC canister, but had to backout.

the current can be conrtolled using a simple constant current circiut http://www.instructables.com/id/Power-L ... t-current/SCORPIO wrote:I also want this arrangement if possible.juanico wrote:i would like to take the whole LED thing to a new level (at least new level for me)
