vikas,the point is the that all the substrate we are talking about like vermicompost,soil,soilrite,laterite, etc are always used at the bottom layer covered and with a thick layer of inert substrate like golden soil( this is where planting is done) and care is taken not to disturb the bottom layer.

what if i mix vermicompost and golden sand and make it substrate then it will be successfll for planted aquarium or not.

yes you should understand that Clay is very fine and compost etc ae lighter than water hence what happens is that it takes the longest time to settle, as you are working with water you have to ensure that thingh that float are suppressed by heavier material, eg washed sand, washed gravel.
this is a basic.

well, i guess all kinds of fert substrates will make the water cloudy for a while. if you add too much of it then that might be a long run case and wont be good either as the algae will feed like crazy in such a situation. water plants dont need tooo much of fert substrate. except for some root hoggers.

tommorow will put the substrate in my aquarium.. then will the see changes in my cilata and vallis..
