Hello All,
On the week of christmas I suddenly planned a quick vacation to Mumbai to meet my relatives and also to do some fishy work.
Reached Mumbai on 22nd of December and first thing I did - called 'Shiva Nair' the prominent discus keeper and breeder in India.
Shiva sir was free on 25th morning so without any delay fixed up early morning visit to his place(s) at Dombivali. He welcomed me at the train station itself and then the journey to the fantasy world - the sight of the king of the fresh water began!!!!
Before that would like to say few words about Shiva sir -
He is a true gentleman, who took time from his busy and hectic schedule to make time for me to let me visit his places and just click snaps.
Sparing 3 hour time on a holiday to let fullfill some one urge of clicking snaps is always respected.
And the way he explained each and every details of discus keeping and answering my silliest queries command just Respect!!!
More over he has more than 70-100 aquarium tanks and the amount of care-dedication he provides to each single aquarium and also to each fishes will make you fell in love with his dedication and love towards them, and I am for sure the fishes also respond to his gesture their best way
But one thing - after talking with him or checking his fishes out you are bound to plunge into Discus Keeping and perhaps I also could be a casualty
He has two separate divisions -
Part 1- The trading division.
Part 2- The breeding and fry raising division.
As of now I will upload images from Part 1, rest will be done soon.
Part 1- The trading division -
Shiva sir took me to the 1st division where he have 4-5 huge size plastic water storage tanks which fulfills the water change requirement of the beauties.
And then he opened the door where his beauties are stocked and for some moments I have to hold my jaw- which has already widened enough.. Shiva sir oly told me -'Abhisek you can take pictures' - I went there keeping that thing first in my mind but forgot due to the sight..
So now here are some of the images
