The jewel fishes that i received today are getting black in color slowly and slowly .


i know that this is sign of stress ,can somebody help in overcoming this situation

Colour is changing due to stress. Black out the aquarium in which you have kept those. Also maintain temperature up to 25 degree celcius. They will be normal up to morning.

jewels are hardy fish and 27 won't be any problem for them, just follow the instructions given by Abhishek.

err!! 25deg would be good for plants, so I'd beg to differ with Tropical fish.
I would say stable 28-30deg and with a heater+themrostat, for first few days incase they look clumsy & uneasy.

What do you mean by black?? fins getting black? or fish getting darker colours? few pics will help mate.
I hope the tank has been precycled for few weeks atleast.

Eitherways these are pretty sturdy kind. Still, go slow-n-low on their feed for first 2-3days avoiding meaty foods.

today they have started to swim in the tank,but they didn't gained their color and are going to form pairs soon as they are three breeding pairs
