wild guess: are the carbohydrates (e.g. C6H12O6) maybe even carbon-supplier? no idea, i failed badly in chemistry :cnf
Well since these are organic, majority of these will end up being broken down by the bacteria. Finally into Nitrates acting as an organic manure.
In a well cycled tank, shouldn't be a problem
But as far as benefits are concerned, I got no idea...

but on the other hand these unbroken organic compounds may induce algal growth or in worst case increased BOD.

hi mates,
its very nice to see the discussion in progress
when u read the chemical combination from label of ready packed
Macronutrients for Aquarium Plants and content from coconut water
we can see which one is better

dosage : its a prob
coconut water water is not a standardized one
each shell is different
so it is better to use lower quantity in your trials

over dosage make water to turn cloudy with in 24 hrs
i have a 5 feet X 1 feet X 15 inch water holding tank with common plants like
valisnaria (ordinary), dwarf-valisnaria, amazon sword , banana and hygrophilla, crypts etc..
every day morning feed my fishes , same time i pour coconut water in 50 gram Hitachi container
In this tank there are GARA , tetras, black twin sword tails ,and some native beauties
Iam using ordinary internal power filter , no CO2, getting natural sunlight to tank in morning times directly.
Just using a philips true light (110 INR)
result is better than using ready packed mix
cos this is DIY............ not ready made

let us share XP

Yes Sushant quite true but that's where the experimenting comes into play
Every tank has it's own balance. In some tanks, where nutrients are scarce, the compounds will be fully absorbed by the plants (e.g. like your killfish tank where the bioload is quite low and lots of plants). But Looking at the benefits, and the macros and micros, it's certainly worth a try.
