I've observed one more thing ..
When I feed the females with live food.. the size of her belly increases. and when poops out the belly size decreases.. So I doubt whether she is carrying eggs or not

Hi cichlids i am not expert in breeding betta but i have breed them some times and raised few frys,so i wiil try to help you out if you are serious about breeding them.
Getting bettas to breed is easy but the real task starts from raising fry and be prepare to have some live foods cultures running before you breed them;
now come to your problem if she have dropped eggs once then give her some time and protien rich live food like mosquito larvae and daphnia if you can find them.
and few pics of the pair with size of the fish .the size of the tank temperature i mean complete config will be helpfull and i will soon write a writeup on breeding bettas.

Re: Newbie in breeding betta - help needed
Hi aamir,
I want to breed them.I have a few bettas with me.In my previous attempt
Tank Size : 18*9*9 (L*B*H)
Temp : 26deg
Hiding spots : Clay pot, PVC pipe and a few floating plants.
I had placed the male in tank and female in a chimney (inside the same tank). I removed the chimney and male started chasing the female for two days. Later I noticed the size of female belly was reduced and there were no eggs in bubble nest.
While removing the chimney I didnt notice the size of her belly. I think that she had lost the eggs before removing the chimney.
Trying to take a few snaps of breeding pair, but the bettas are not posing properly
