after this test case I done a modified spawning tank
WATER LOOKS CLOUDY BECOS ITS JUST COLLECTED FROM NATURAL POND WHILE ITS RAINING
as a natural source of micro food I used it
lighted . air+sponge filter,

Dear Neil,
Your thread motivated me to attempt breeding bettas.
Thanx to your experience and probably some beginners luck, I have now approx 30-50 frys which are now 10 days old.
Some questions may seem stupid!
1. Are any water changes required? If so how frequent and how much %?
2. Is it sufficient to rear them on infusoria? I have Romifex but seems rather big for the fry to feed on! What other feeding options do I have?
3. Is any filtration required or advisable? I am presently only managing with water changes.
4. Is an airstone essential or preferable?

from fry tank every day i remove sediments from bottom using air tube and fill up
keep sponge filter , clean it frequently
infusuria ...... paramecium/rotifiers .......micro worm......... then artimia then micro pellets so on feeding sequence
There are some ready packed food too specially used for betta
