Re: angel fish breeding some snaps
Hi all,
We can increase egg count, hatching rate and fry survival by giving best food for parents.
healthy parents can produce healthy baby !
frozen artimia
mosquito larvae
small fish fry (live)
BHM
live worms
pellets which contain 50 % protein +VITAMIN C and E etc......
+
good water parameters +partial water changes per week every 14 day interval they may lay egg !!
you can inter change male/female from your identified potential breeding pairs and continue experiments to get new strains
Regards,
NEIL

There is no doubt that good diet, live culture, feeding atleast 2 times, grooms the fishes for the breeding.
I will post pics of Kribensis soon
Why dont you start breeding some apistos. It will be good for us

My friend i must point out here that irrespective of what others are saying, there is no evidence that P altum and P scalare were ever successfully hyrbidised.neilthirumuttam wrote:Romi wrote:neilthirumuttam wrote:syed.ali wrote:There is no doubt that good diet, live culture, feeding atleast 2 times, grooms the fishes for the breeding.

What has happened is that a variety of P scalare from Peru was named Peru Altum by some dealers because it resembles Altum (but it is still a variety of P scalare and NOT altum, according to the same people who gave it this name). Then this variety was crossed with albino angelfish in Israel by Danziger Discus, a famous breeding farm that exports worldwide.
here is a thread from an excellent website that show a video of the fish used in Israel to obtain this variety of P scalare.

Re: angel fish breeding some snaps
here is a video of the Dantum variety for member from the fantastic fish farm in Israel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB9yVdbBXAU
if neil breeds this Scalare variety, we will be delighted, because it is the kind with streamers on its either tail that you can see so clearly in this video. i like better that the usual Comb Tail on common varieties of Angelfish which is not as graceful.
Plus since it is a lighter tail, it is easier for the fish to carry erect, and therefore looks quite a bit better.
