I had no idea. I see the males fighting some times but haven't noticed any hostility towards the female. How many more can I add in that tank? It's roughly 50 gallons

You can add many more in a 50G.
They are not interested in female right now coz they are at a new place and busy marking their territories. Once they all are settled in and have their territories, they will start bugging the female.
I have dario hysginons and I have a ratio of 1:1.5
I have 4 males and 6 females in a 18G tank.
