My new tanganyikan tank...

Unread post by Abhishek »

Hey All,

Sold of the cypris and also the multies some time back and brought a colony of 6 juvenile F1 black calvus.
They tank have been re-scaped and been done by Abhro :)
A portion of the aquarium glass got broken so had to keep the water level low..

Here are some crappy-super lazy images of the setup...

I am fighting to become the mayor of un-clean aquarium glass so ignore it 666

Now initially when I got the calvus they were very skittish so introduced a colony of lemon tetra as dithers and they did a fantastic work..

Some images-

And now my calvus..

[P.S. - Got the external flash yet to get the wireless remote so will provide more decent images later]

Will use this thread as a journal for the growth of my calvus..

Comments and Suggestions are welcomed till then :)

Wood is looking natural. Add some more Bolbities over the wood to make it more natural looking.

Thanks Rajiv Ji, added some more bolbitis but they are not visible, this bolbitis was added 1-2 weeks back and I am hoping that they anchor soon and grow fast..
The part where the bolbitis is I want to grow it there, do you think I should add more or let them grow?

I would suggest some rock structures rather than driftwood

Since its a tanganyikan setup I guess the pH would be over 8 and the water would be moderatley-very hard... dont you think growing bolbitis would be a challenge in there ??

Sure Jibran bhai.. Will rescape it soon once I get the black sand..
And once I get a confirmed pair of them will remove the rest. Do you think I need more caves then?
