OK I love keeping bettas and shooting at them with my camera, but have never kept a wild betta, there were ample opportunities to get some betta smaragdina or the betta pi, the betta pi was quite alluring, it is a monster betta , but never got to keeping one
Did try getting the ever beautiful macrostoma but its mortality and price did scare me a bit to avoid the fish, may be one day will try keeping the fish
I got this fish as a surprise from a friend, he had sent me a pair, poor handling by the railway authorities caused the death of the female, but i will soon be receiving another, and boy was I stoked, was so darn excited that I just couldn't stop reading about this fish and looking at various setups.
And after two days of fazing out I have in my mind what my setup is going to be
Clearing out the ctenopoma acutirostris to make space for the betta albimarginata
The tank is 3'x1'x1'
Substrate is fine river Sand
Decor planning on a small piece of driftwood, which has to be branchy
And some rocks to make small caves
Will be adding ample amounts of leaf litter of indian almond leaves
The tank will have lots of rainbow shrimp as food and scavengers of the tank
