Unread post by SCORPIO »

I am growing aquatic plants from last 9-10 years. During this period, I have grown many types of plants. Through, this topic, I want to share my experience with all of you.

Anybody is free to ask questions related to posted plant.

I am starting this diary with one of my most favorite aquatic plant.

Glossostigma elatinoides
glosso.jpg
I am growing this plant from 2010. This plant need medium-high light with Carbon dioxide and fertilizers. In low light it grows upward and slow. But in sufficient light and nutrients, it can cover foreground within 30-45 days. Soft water also promotes the growth of this plant.

Hope this topic will be helpful for all the aquarist on the forum. I will show another popular plant after several replies.

I will be happy in facing the bombardment of questions.

Dose with Pottasium (K) and Iron (Fe). Also insure proper lighting.

CO2 is must for every plant. Without CO2, substrate and light will not work.

The glosso shown in above picture is grown in latarite and soilrite. I have achieve good growth of glosso in DIY substrate.

Light, Carbon and fertilizers, all of these needs to complete the process of photosynthesis. There should be a balance between the Light, Carbon and Fertilizers.

Yes. I have grown lots of Glosso in Glut. It grows like as a weed in medium light incombination of Glut and fertilizers.
