Guys if anyone has any fish or plants to sell then plz let us know so that we can arrange for a proper auction during the meet. Framing rules would require time and we have just 4 days to go.

It is just an opinion that we first frame rule for auction so that more people come forward with what the have with them.

First we should know if anyone is interested in selling something, then only we can frame rules. If no one has or is willing to sell anything than there is no point coming up with any rules...Neeraj wrote:It is just an opinion that we first frame rule for auction so that more people come forward with what the have with them.

What I suggest is that we hold a silent auction, wherein the seller will display his fish or plants with a tag mentioning the minimum or starting bid price. Then all the members wishing to bid for that particular item can inspect it there and can write down the item code (whatever no we assign to the product like 1, 2, 14, 15 etc) and mentions his bidding price on a chit and deposit it with the auctioneer.
At the end of the auction what we can do is open the chits and sell the item to the highest bidder.
This way the auction will be held peacefully.

Nice idea Vijendra.
I have following for give away/exchange in meet:
Plants:
1. Rotala rotundofolia green around 100 stems. Each stem is around 12-30 inch
2. Rotala rotundofolia Red around 100 stems.
3. Staurogyne porto vehlo 40+ stems
4. Some other stems
Invertebrates
1. Assasin snail 5+
Fish
Red killies full grown around 2 inch
I have never sold any item related to hobby but also respecting the Silent Auction started by Vijendra. So reserve price for each item is only 1.00 Rs. per item. All the earnings will be utilized in development of hobby.
I also request to other member to keep the base price as nominal as possible.
