I understand your point, Pintoo bro, but I thought that I would discuss the fish with peeyosh first , and then discuss it with the rest. This would allow Peeyosh to breed the fish and give all of us a pleasant surprise later.

But since you have made this point, I might tell you that I suggested the Peacock Gudgeon to Piyoosh which is both easy to breed and very colourful and rare here in India, and the small but very pretty catfish, Centromochlus perugiae. It can be kept in groups, and is easy to breed too. :P

I will suggest more if this thread is productive and we get results as we go forward.

Thanks Romi.

I have started reading about the both the fishes you suggested... though first i am concentrating over Peacock Gudgeon.... Also trying to see from where it can be sourced... once i have a confirmation on the sourcing then would initiate the process and share the updates for sure.....

First of all try with some locally available fishes and acquire sufficient knowledge and techniques. After getting success move on exotic and rare species.

I would second that also, I will tell from my experiance, breeding is not that big issue, on that you need luck that you get fertile pair and caring parent, in that there isnt much that you can do. But when it comes to raising the frys, thats the tricky part, we have most causalities, you have to know what to feed how much to feed, how much water change to do. Small things, which you will learn every day. So start of with guppies, raise 1 lot, or you can even try ur hands on betta if you like, pick and good condition betta pair, start cheap, once you 1 lot experiance then go for big bang, by then your tank, your schedule everything will be in place.
By the way are you married :offtopic
