How to get rid of this Algae!!
Hi All,
I'm facing a lot of algae issues especially on glossostigma.
Tank Size : 30" x 15" x 15" (lbh)
Lighting : 2x36W Pll (Total 72 W) - 8 hrs per day.
Substrate : Conto soil.
Algae Eaters : SAE - 4, Amano Shrimps - 2
What kind of algae is this??
Please help me how to get rid of this algae. Its spoiling my scape..
Thanks,

Re: How to get rid of this Algae!!
I think is staghorn algae. It develops in high light low flow area in planted aquariums. Usually, its color is green and blueish shade. Remove it manually or introduce SAE in the tank.

staghorn. ideally the SAE should take care of it (atleast in my case). starve them for a day or to and they will do the needful.

Starve anyfish and they will find the algae as a food source.
I had a mild outbreak of Hair Algae. Starved the tank for 3 days and everyone except for my dwarf cichlids went about cleaning up all the algae.
