Firstly I need to tell you I really like this 'Sump Tank' of yours <3
But I don't exactly understand what is a sump. My understanding is that it is an external tank where water from the main tank goes to get filtered and then it flows back into the main tank. am I right?

thank Naufil, yaa sump is an external filter, actually i divided my sump to 4 section , 1st is front section which is the almost half of sump tank(planted portion),rest half is divided in 3 part mechanical,bio n pump section respectively .
generally 60% space of sump is use(filter media, circulating water ) and rest space is for accommodating main tank water when u turn off pump or during power cut but one can attest that amount of water with some design.
