Thank All,

Earlier I tried to find a dimmable driver, but only found LPC-35-700 in nehru place. Do you know a place where I can find dimmable driver in delhi?

My objective behind reducing current is to be safe & produce less heat, as I doubt my heat sync capability, So this is a trial to test if I can make it work?
Thanks & Regards

Run them once at 700mA and see if at all its overheating.
I got mine running from 3years, no spoils until water fell on one.

As its experiment, run them and judge then.

There is significant difference in heat produced at 700ma vs 350ma but not much difference in light produced.
So decided to run them at 350ma let see how my plants will respond.

BTW don't spoil your eyes. Your eyes are not meters. After certain intensity eyes cant distinguish low-high. Don't strain them please.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the poor image quality as these are clicked by phone.
IMG_3235.jpg
Using this Aluminium Channel as heatsink holding 12 x 3watt leds
IMG_3230.jpg
Finished Strip with led lens & top cover fitted with two 3.5' fans.
IMG_3240.jpg
Still require more light but its definitely better than my previous setup as its penetrating to the bottom & my star grass is also recovering, in next few days I'll add more strip.

Note: Right now I'm not using lenses as they were creating a hotspot & rest of the tank was looking dark, I'll try again once I have the 2nd strip ready. Also temperature is well under control, so not using the fans to cool it down.

Which brand are these LEDs? Can we run 15 LEDs with a sinlge driver?
