As I was saying in my last post I changed the right side of the tank a bit, here's the piece I took out.

And this piece went in, it was 150cm so I had to cut it first, came out really nice.
Image

So I put the new piece in
Image

And added a few pieces of bogwood
Image

I had to fix the new piece into place,

The next day when the dust was settled this was the result, and I have to say that I am really happy with the changes,

The E.Bleheri and the E.Ozelot switched places, the rest of the tank was untouched.
A few more photo's,

After 2 days one of my discus pairs decided it was time fo a new try.

A total tank shot to sign off with,

Sorry for the crappy quality of most of the hoto's, these were all made with my mobile phone.

is your decision to keep floating leaves of water lilies deliberate? I can surmise your discus enjoy the patches of shade they provide while allowing portions where your plants are to be lit brightly. ... :)

Yes it is a deliberate decicion, I really like this plant and like you say one of the benifits is the shade they give and at the same time they let enough light through for other plants. (my Nannobrycon Eques are allways found beneath the floating leaves)
The lilly is actually a hydrocleys Nymphoides and is forbidden to be sold here in the netherlands.
But it is the only south american plant of it's kind that i know of.
There are other types ofcourse like the Lotus nut I find the leaves of the lotus get to big at the surface and the lotus will grow much bigger.

Fishes are looking healthy.
Floating leaves or plants always provide secure feeling to fishes.
