My new fishes - N Cadu - New Babies - Page 2
Been out of fish keeping for quite some and actually it felt boring without witnessing my dear cichlids fighting with each other, displaying their territorial aggression, fry care...
My biggest tank I already have converted it into paludrium and had vampire crabs in them, what a twist of irony it turned out that all 9 of the crab are male and they almost killed each other!!!
Due to space constraint converted the palu into again a shell dweller setup and the crabs are relocated..
The tank setup has been done with the help of Abhro and this time I used Caribsea Eco-Complete Cichlid sand, and the sand is beautiful.
Here is the tank details-
36*18*18
2*8kg bag of Caribsea Eco-Complete Cichlid Sand
Locally Collected Rocks
1200lt/h overhead filter.
After cycling the tank keeping a colony of 5 Neolamprologous Cadupunctatus and they are a fish any cichlid lover should must keep!!!. They are tiny but always patrolling their tank area with the fin erect and that is a lovely sight!!!
Few snaps of them -
Going after the NLS...
The grumpy face...

Great snaps!
do they look so colorful in real? In my experience I found these colors(on Tanganyikans) to be more of reflective nature, reflecting the overhead mounted flash. I toned down tangs from last photoshoot great deal to represent their colors effectively.
Looking forward to see the FTS. I really started liking the caribsea substrates, they are so neutral and complement the fishes well.

Re: My new fishes - N Cadu
Karthik thanks Well its better to start with a 2.5*1*1 as minimum for them, they do love space
Thanks Sushant What info you need?
Thanks Rajiv Ji
Yes Hamza they are actually colorful, the yellow tinge is prominent every time you see them, and the blue tinge its also there but yes I guess the overhead flash brought more detail of it...
FTS will provide and true the sand is worthy investment...

very very nice! I didn't know Neolamprologous Cadupunctatus was so pretty. And it has a certain translucence that brings out the blue eyes even more.
