Nano cave scape Journal (suggestions required)
I wanted to make an interesting scape with lots of stones. Its been in my mind for over a month but I didn't come up with anything. Then I was flipping through a book about nature's wonders and found this image:
I loved this idea and had seen something similar in IAPLC 2013. I wanted to try this same concept with the use of Laterite stones. Was able to collect 5-6 kgs from a brick factory behind my house.
I started with making the base of the scape.
After making the base I realised I need lot more stones to work with so I've to put the hard scape on hold until I can go collect some more stones.
Any tips on constructing the cave like structure?? Will be useful for me.
Soil is controsoil+amazonia
river sand in wherever needed
will have a PLL fixture
pressurized co2
sujo's ferts kit
filtration not yet decided
plants not yet fully decided(need suggestions badly)
Fauna will be oto cinclus and carbon rilis

Re: Cube scape Journal
Finished the base, will do the final fine tuning after the cave structure is made. The left side is 11 stones neatly arranged, will change it if needed.
Right side has just three stones now. Don't have the right stones to continue right now. Need to make another trip to the brick factory and collect 4-5kgs of Laterite.
How's it so far guys?

Going nicely. Fix the roof part with m-seal.

So I wasn't able to get a good shot of my tank. Its still in progress and has a lot of things in it to support the structure until the mseal holds it together.
This is exactly how the tank looks. Except for the center portion of the bridge and the plants.

Re: Cube scape Journal
Sat and finished 90% of the rock work.
Just need some help in the following things:
1) which plants shall I go for?
2) should I use small twigs anywhere in the scape?
3) how do I make a really good looking stream?
4) do you think it'll look good as a shrimp tank?
I hope you guys like it. Anxiously waiting for the seniors to review it and give their feedback (hamza Syed, Abhradip, Partha, rajhiv, sreeram)
Please tell me on how I can make it better! Your advice is very much helpful.
