I was expecting the same answer, I was thinking to put shrimps in my present small tank, but have to think other option then.

Nice write up buddy and i agree with everything you have said.

what about CA supplements? That was something I faced an issue with since i have very soft neutral pH water.
Just cos it happened to you is no means for you to claim that it will happen to me. Exceptions aren't the rule.

I am not saying that you cant use it, but it should always be in proper quantity. And also I am unsure about even the usage of co2 also..
Best option dont try it..

Thanks Viresh.

About CA supplement, I personally never used one Viresh like to keep it as simple as it can be, but some use the mosura iodine and calcium supplements which are good ones.

But for soft neutral water or ro water I do the 80-20 principle, 80% soft water and 20% normal water, coz the basic is maintaining the tds so some how keep it around 120-150ppm and job is done..

Thanks Syed, the site you have mentioned is very useful, but if you want to get into serious shrimp keeping I would recommend joining shrimpnow.com or reading the articles of chris, gennaro, silane, imke- they are the best!!!
