Hi all,

I'll like to share my second Plaudarium attempt ,,,,,

Tank size 2x1x1

Plants -- anubias, h.tripartita ,windlove ferns ,,,,,,

I am yet yo decide on fauna ,,,, please suggest me what can b kept here

Keep small fishes. Killies are best for this type of setups.

Water area is really v less...... I am thinking to start with some shrimps

its looking nice. Is emergent plant, money plant?

it is amazing how a simple idea can take an aquarium suddenly to a different level. so many people have anubias now, an expensive plant mostly, that it no longer catches eyeballs like it used to 5 years ago. But by dropping the water level, we have an aquarium that is, suddenly, many times more exciting.... I think a paludarium like this is super interesting... especially if the anubias start growing fast! i have heard that A congensis grows particularly fast if leaves are grown out of the water like this. Hope to see this thread progress and teach us a few new things... if the anubias thrive, i am sure so many guys will want to try the idea right away. ..

Simple and effective. This should work fine. Although you can do a few more things
-designate dry and wet areas in the tank
.--the dry area should not get splashing water while the wet area should.
auatic plants (like Anubias, Moss and Ferns) can be in the wet area, while other semi aquatic plants (bromeliades etc) can be in the dry part
-Have the pump on a timer....you don't need to water more than 3/4 times a day for more than 2/3 minutes every time
Wrap a filter sponge/cotton wool around the pump, it will act as the filter too
