Hello
These eels are commonly sold in Delhi/NCR by different names such as Eel, Snake fish, Morray etc. I would like to know what kind of eels are these exactly.
I am not even sure they are freshwater fish or not. I had bought one several years back. I had provided it with a cave and it hid in it all day, even when I turned off the lights. It did not eat anything, even live food (snails and guppy) and lived for about 4 months (without food) and died just like that. That experience was not good, yet, every time I come across this fish in an LFS I am intrigued enough to wish to make a species or biotope aquarium for this fish. I mean they are interesting looking odd balls. So I looked up on the web and I did not find much, probably because I didn't know what I was searching for....keywords that is. Most info I came across was sketchy at best. Anyways I would like to know a thing or two about these mysterious eels, if to just satisfy my curiosity :\
Anything you fellas might want to share will be most welcome
This is a picture I found on the internet that quite resembles the eels in question, the ones sold here are more blotchy and somewhat greenish. Could be a color variation though, I am horrible at identifications and such....errr....:\
