I always fantasized about having a fish room.
and was greatly inspired by Ted's fish room on youtube. Money was always a problem.
I have now accumulated around 15-20k and I'm finally planning on building one.
now basic framework, then slowly finishing will be done gradually.
And also will be open to public and friends viewing once it is ready to promote the beautiful hobby.
Here is what I plan.
Please tell me if I am wrong anywhere in the structural parts
Thank you in advance

What dimension tanks are you talking here? Hardwood ply is generally better at handling weights.

say 3x1.5x1.5
mostly 2.5x1.5x1.5

you want marine ply, which will withstand the numbness/water drips/moisture
Did you try checking aluminum channels?

True but wood is more customizable as far as DIY goes, a concrete structure would be more or less permanent.
....also add the cost of hiring a labor and mason

I am really confused..
I dont mind a permanent structure but...
Plywood 1" width cost -65/sq ft
but concrete with labour - 50-55/sq ft
if 0.5" plywood can hold it would have been better as cost is 45/sqft
I need ideas..

Have a look at iron shelves too, I guess they should be cheaper.
