LED light Upgrade
Changed my current 3 w to 10 w LED system
Reason : Drivers to run 3 w LED are too expensive
New one contains 10W LED X 10 NO = 100W in total. These are cheap Chinese LEDS so i am sure they would be between 5 to 10 watts each
Instead of driver used SMPS 12v 20A
here are the pics light is too bright than 3W system and cheaper too

Re: LED light Upgrade
asheesh, I would recommend that you add some red and blue led, 3 watt each to get complete color spectrum, I have tried these cheap 10 watt led, but i just didnt get the growth. My tank was just cripple, there was very slow growth. then i remembered article by summer, where he has suggested adding red and blue led to get complete color spectrum for growth and then i just added 1 watt each led of blue and red and now my plants started growing.

Re: LED light Upgrade
Thanks Syed, i have another separate strip with blue and red. Blue plays a vital role and these(that i have 10W) are not 11000K light. if anyone can procure 11000K lights then blue is not required.syed.ali wrote:asheesh, I would recommend that you add some red and blue led, 3 watt each to get complete color spectrum, I have tried these cheap 10 watt led, but i just didnt get the growth.
