Alternanthera Red - Mini - Deteriorating

Unread post by aawnaik »

All of a sudden I have noticed that my Alternanthera Red - Mini is Deteriorating. The leaves are floating in water. With great difficulty I had made 7-8 stems from the one. The pic is attached.

Suggestions for imroving the health please. Currently I am dosing some branded feretilizer and CSMB.

hmm, I used to keep a. mini as well. I did get similar problems. I remember using root tabs and it made a drastic difference. After a month when i took out the plant, the roots had completely held onto the root tabs. So i assumed that something was lacking in my dosing and the addition of root tabs helped.
Also may i know how you are dosing co2 into the tank? and how much do you dose?
Warm Regards,
Aditya

Amit Ji
What is your fertilization schedule, pH, temperature and lighting.

If it started deteriorating in the last few days you could also check for pest snails that may be munching on leaves.
Also what lighting are you using?

Everything is ok. They need lots of light. Last I kept these plants in LED light and nevery seen growth. There lower leaves also melted but after transfer in 6500 kb T5 light they shown good growth.
