What parameters you follow to select fishes for breeding purpose?

Hi Neil,

How do you select the male, female means ideal parameters to become a breeding pair?

And is there any breeding preparations?

Hi friends,
This is only a test case
I have only few kois
they are not top quality. Recently visited a koi bito in Chennai It made me a fan of kois
I just selected male and female with good coloration and gesture.
( me not koi expert & no idea about it feature , marking grading etc..)


STEPS

* Well feed the chosen kois , one month for breeding
* Koi breeding is typically most successful in month with light raining temperature around 25 degree
* The quality of the baby koi fish relies heavily upon the quality of the parents. Start with strong, healthy parents
*mating age is between 3-6 years old, but koi have also been able to produce baby koi fish until they are up to 15 years
*Make sure to give your breeding koi couple some privacy when it's time for them to mate(calp and shady place i choose)
*Koi need a place to lay their eggs so breeding tank must have sufficient space to their fore play and mating
* we must have space to keep egg and hatch lings and ready give them live feed (BBS is my choose)
* good filtration and aeration is necessary in breeding tank and fry tank

These are in general what I have done

Hi
Now chosen fishes to breed and we started conditioning them to breeding.
During this time we have to give them food contains protein, carbohydrate vitamins etc...
we can ake it in DIY style or can go 4 branded koi feed.




Any of our member doing koi ? have koi pond etc ?
