New to planted tanks.. need some feedback
Hello Community Members,
Hope you all are doing well; this is Jason from Hyderabad. Have taken up this hobby since 2 years and absolutely loving it.
After a lot of research I finally set up a 3 ft planted aquarium. It's been 5 month since I start and wanted to get some feedback and reviews.
Looking forward to hear from you all soon. Thank you.

Nice.
How much and what type of light you installed in tank?
Please also list the plants.

Thanks..
I have 2 6 inch 10 Watts Wipro LED lights (Diffusers removed)
Coming to the plants I have Bacopa, Pygmy Chain Sword, Dwarf sagittaria, Hygrophila Stricta (Giant mint), have some Wallichi, Echinodorus Angustifolius and Echinodorus Argentinensis.
This is a very low tech tank, using Glut for co2.

Your plants are growing only upward with lots of space between leaves. This is due to low light. You have to increase light for good health of plants.jason_jm wrote:Thanks..

Glut is good source of liquid carbon. I am also using since a long.

How much more light would you suggest?? Another 10watts ?? Also presently I'm running them 10hrs at a stretch.. Is that okay?? Or changes to that required?? Thanks for your feedback.

It depends on how many lumens your LEDs producing. Check your LEDs pack.jason_jm wrote:How much more light would you suggest?? Another 10watts ?? Also presently I'm running them 10hrs at a stretch.. Is that okay?? Or changes to that required?? Thanks for your feedback.

Go for 9 lumen per square inch of your tanks size.
What are the dimensions of your tank?

Jason your tank is beautiful. You just need to trim the plants to make them bushy, and increase light to make them compact.
