They have vermicompost, organic manure.. I used that manure one but that promotes nematodes in my tank.. neem fertilizer, perlite, vermiculite.. I'm not sure of CEC and which will help me to avoid anaerobic pockets.. I see perlite and vermiculite in shops as well..

I currently have red soil, cocopeat with me..

I also come through a sodium bentonite clay powder through amazon website.. just let me know if we can use it in the mix.. do they really have some value?

http://www.amazon.in/Greenfield-BENTONI ... 566&sr=1-6

Also, I have high ph water, it shows as 8.1.. I dont find peat moss here.. so preferred soilrite.. but could not able to source it.. :(

if it is really 8.1ph,(what is your TDS?) you cant to much but use an RO unit.

3-4mm or higher grain/granules/gravel will have enough gaps for roots to penetrate.

okay.. thank you Sai.. I have checked my corporation water with TDS of 150-200 and a ph of 7.5.. I believe that would be good to use.. is there a good way to reduce ph and maintain nearby to 7.0?
