Advice for a DIY LED setup for 6*1*1 FRESHWATER SETUP

HELLO GUYS,

I NEED ADVICE REGARDING HOW TO GO ABOUT BUILDING A LED SETUP FOR A 6*1*1 FRESHWATER TANK. I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE

MATERIALS THAT NEED TO BE SOURCED LIKE THE LED LIGHTS, DRIVER, CIRCUITRY ETC. A STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION WOULD HELP A

LOT AS I DUNN HAVE MUCH ELECTRICAL KNOW HOW. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE LIGHT SPECTRUM AND

BRIGHTNESS. EXPECTING REPLIES.THANK YOU. :)

You need following items to make DIY Leds:
1. Heat sink strips
2. Thermal Greece
3. Driver
4. LEDs 3 watt
5. Star PCB

For medium light plants 2 strips of 20 Leds will be enough.

1. number of leds needed , any specification for the driver like power needed , circuitry . Can you help.THANKS.

Also i would like to know about individual LEDs which are connected by wire pieces i happen to view on youtube and can we build one which can be operable using remote control like dimming and changing various colours.

whats the depth of the tank and what are you planing to grow ?

going by Rapid leds site you should use 72x12/35 ~ 25leds. since the calculation is based aroung Cree Leds i would suggest going by atleast 25% more. i.e around 30-32.

any easy carpet plants, java fern anubias etc . the depth is 1.5 feet

6*1*1 tank....and i need a blue print and the procedure to build a led setup for it since i want to try building one. preferably with a remote for controlling the intensity as well.thanks
