these kind of stuff are available in chavdi bazaar , one station before chandani chock if you happen to travel by metro.

Chawri Bazar closed on Sundays. On right hand side of metro station, there are lots of shops of these type of stuffs.

i will go to chawri bazar next saturday and check the system. if it is the same i know, then the connectors have a steel core, coated with plastic.

here some pics from a lfs in germany, almost all lfs use this system.
with the pics you can estimate the length of the bars...without middle beam.
the aluminum tubes are 1x1 inch.

juanico, like the tree frog thread, this thread got me to open my eyes w-i-d-e. the stands look super, never seen anything like that in any LFS here. they all have those badly welded Angle Iron stuff.

i wish i could tag along when u go to chawri bazaar. i might be able to help in my desi apperance They would look so good with my humble stuff.
