Which packaged soil is better according to you and why?

Hi All,

Lets have a collective poll on this topic to check what's the best according to you is the best packaged soil out there.

I'll start:

For me it's Controsoil any day, it helps me maintain my water chemistry at a very stable state. PH is maintained around 6.8 - 6.9. Water stays super clean, no clouding in comparison to ADA, does not crumble/turn muck as ADA. There has been days where the tank was neglected quite a bit but the water stays pretty good even if water change is not done. Plants grow super crazy in mine. I have used ADA amazonia line as well, but was not upto my expectation.

I havent used the latest ADA Amazonia, used till Ada Amazonia 2, the results may be good, but hate it when the tan the water!!!

One more soil would bring into notice is Ferka, price is less but good quality it is.

Contro Soil heard a lot about it, never used it coz I guess they don't possess the quality of buffering the PH and TDS.

On the contrary controsoil does buffer the PH slightly acidic, it's you who tested it on staurday for me so it does keep the water slight acidic and soft..

And Abhro, I guess you want a poll on which packaged planted soil is better

Because you have missed Caribsea Sand and other of its products which is just marvelous for cichlid and sulawesi keepers

I have used ADA and Sera but never satisfied. So I always prefer DIY substrate. In next project I am planing to use black soil.
