Info required regarding dealers in LED lights for aquarium

Unread post by nitv007 »

Hi all,

i am searching for led lighting for my aquarium for last 3-4 months, can any one of you suggest some dealer or online site for it? i am from bangalore, so anyone from bangalore can help me in suggesting a dealer over here. i had read lots of post regarding DIY Led lighting, but i feel its bit complicated. i am not sure from where i will get heat sinks, acrylic sheets customized to my size. Above all i want it neat, i dont want anyone to get electrocuted by touching it.
My tank is 1.5 feet long. i had found a online site where i can get led lights (http://www.aquariumsindia.com/), but its too costly also. More over starting size is 2 feet.

i have been waiting for a while now for that site to come up with no result.

Something tells me its a scam. why would a genuine dealer allow his store to go offline do to lack of bandwidth?
Just cos it happened to you is no means for you to claim that it will happen to me. Exceptions aren't the rule.

@nitv007.....there are numerous posts on online stores on IAH. Please do check them. The particular one mentioned by you does not enjoy a good reputation. I had purchased an inline heater from them once and it took me a number of calls etc to even get them to ship the stuff.

The best thing to do is get in touch with fellow hobbyists in Bangalore...they should be able to help you.

LED lighting for my 4' setup. At present I have 2x36W T5 tubes. Need to increase the light without increasing power consumption.

36W t5 ? you sure ..they may be 4 feet T8 lights in 36W. Normally T5's are found in the market are 28W in T5 4 feet or 54W in T5HO.

I build custom fixtures of leds into exisitng hoods or clamp on fixtures on a wattage of your choice is also available custom made with me.

Incase your tank is chinese a retro fitting into the same hood can also be done.

Nirav.

The tubes I am having are thinner than the usual T8. May be they will also be classified as T8.
